1. Conditions for renewing temporary residence cards for foreigners in Vietnam

• The passport of the applicant must be valid for at least one year;
• In the case of a temporary residence card issued based on a work permit, the work permit of the foreigner must have a period of at least 1 year from the time of application for extension;

2. How many days in advance should my temporary stay be extended?

• Notarized copy of Marriage Registration Certificate in Vietnam or a consular legalized copy of Marriage Certificate issued by a foreign country
• Application for guarantee and issuance of temporary residence card for foreigners (Form NA7)
• Application form for TRC for foreigners (Form NA8)
• The original passport of the applicant for extension of TRC
• The original of the temporary card is in use;

• A notarized copy of the Vietnamese household registration book of Vietnamese spouse
• Certified copy of ID card of Vietnamese spouse;
